Full job description
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard working person to grow within our expanding practice at ScarboroSmiles
In addition to operating the front desk, duties would be to oversee our hygiene department with the intent of maximizing the productivity of staff by ensuring all patients are on an appropriate recall schedule and are keeping their appointments, as well as getting the hygiene care that they need.

Requirements
- 2+ years of prior administrative experience in a dental office required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self motivated to add value to patients' experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Positive attitude.
- Excellent customer service.
- Time management and Organizational skills.
- Proficient in using Dental Software, Paradigm.
Hygiene coordinator responsibilities
- Confirming our hygiene schedule.
- Priority is to fill any open time for the hygienists.
- Chart audit and coordinate all hygiene charting at the daily chart review.
- Do recalls and keep the hygienist well booked. This is to include all patients who are overdue for their hygiene appointments.
- Deal with or follow-up on all hygiene no shows and cancellations and get them rebooked as soon as possible.
- Managing the short notice cancellation list.
- Build strong relationships with hygienists to ensure trust and loyalty.
Administrative responsibilities
- Attentively greeting patients as they arrive.
- Managing phone and patient inquiries in a cheerful manner.
- Processing patients insurance claims and transactions at the end of their appointments.
- Making sure all patients have their next required appointment(s) scheduled.
- Build strong relationships with patients to ensure trust and loyalty.
